Description:
Ceren, or Joya de Cerén, located in El Salvador, is a Maya village buried under 7 metres of ashes thrown by Loma Caldera in AD 590. Some call it the American Pompeii. Ceren was discovered in 1976, and excavated for the first time in 1978. Its conservation is such that it can be studied as if it were a contemporary site, providing an insight into the daily lives of Mayan farmers. Today, Ceren is considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This is one of the most iconic vessels recovered from this amazing site in Central America.
This beautiful art print was created by hand, also includes a small caption that you can show when it is displayed or you can cover it with the framed mat. Also, if there is a specific size you would prefer, please contact us and we will do our best to meet your needs!
