THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT OUR TOWELS. We have put our art in your daily life. This work replicates in full colour an extract of the most common style vessels named Copador, whose art was created by the Mayas of the classic period which inhabited the Western part of Honduras and El Salvador during the late classic period (600-800 AD). We have here a tribute to Mesoamerican archeology.
OUR ART IN OUR MUG. These glossy mugs will become an irreplaceable item in your everyday routine thanks to its perfect size and sturdy shape. Its brilliant print will retain its quality even when dish-washed and microwaved.
What it's about?
We have created a very "Copador" style inspired in those beautiful prehispanic vessels invented during the Late Classic (AD 600-800) in the southeastern Maya. Archaeologists and artists from Blueprinted Education have deployed those band showing the beauty of the natural colors and features used by the ancient craftsmen. The simplicity of the drawings creates a true natural beauty, devised by those who live with the environment and its resources. The style "Copador" was an expanded fashion within the old art of this region, being strongly accepted and commercialized. Today, this style allows archaeologists and scholars to approach the cosmogony, clothing and traditions seen through ancient plastics.
This beautiful art print is created by hand by our artists and archaeologists from Blueprinted Education. You can find this and many more works in our online store.
